Noah stood alone and honoured God when…
The earth was full of godless and sinful men.
He dared to be different; he dared to obey
When wilfulness and sin were the order of his day
God’s heart was weary with all humankind
Their sinful revelling just blew His mind
He looked through the earth and He couldn’t see
More than one soul focused on eternity.
Noah helped God smile through His pain
Tho’ He wanted to destroy all, He thought again
God said: Hey, Noah, I want you to see
How eternally rewarding the Power of One can be!
Tho’ there’s only you below who seeks My face
I’ll save your whole family, and preserve your race.
You alone find favour in my My sight down there
That’s good enough for Me your family to spare
Through My wrath and pain you have clearly shown Me
One human’s enough to switch to plan B
So come on My man, let’s work together
Take hammer and saw and the flood we will weather
You and I, Noah, are more than enough
To take on demons of darkness and call their bluff
Let’s go!

‘What Would Jesus Do’ is a band on my wrist
Do I really act on it when my life takes a twist?
What do I do when life overwhelms?
Do I say: Peace! Be Still! Take charge at the helm?
When a demon dares accost me, do I run in fear?
Or like Jesus say: Be quiet. Get out. Don’t ever step back here.
When my friend’s forsake when I need them most
And have begged them for me to pray
Do I sink into depression, or like Jesus simply say:
They do love me, I know they do, and yet they are weak
It’s OK, let them slumber on, it’s my Father I will seek
I’ll keep loving them as though they never forsook me
And be there for them, always near, right through eternity
Let this band on my wrist be more than my fashion statement
Let it be my way of living, coz that’s what the author meant!
