MY STRENGTH COMES FROM HIM

I may look strong but am frail inside.
My strength comes from Him who has promised to abide.
To walk me through every storm of life.
To see me thru every trail and all strife.

I lean hard on Him when I cannot stand.
His strength's infused as He takes my hand.
When I go to Him, He will never fail.
He makes me strong, though I am so frail.

I don't look down at the valley deep
I don't look around at the waves that creep
I don't look in where my fears may hide
I just look up and in Him abide.

That's how I surf my waves and ride my storms
That's how tho I feel frail, I look so strong!
That's coz He's taught me to lean on Him
That's how I make it thru thick and thin!

Yippee!!! I am MORE than a conqueror!
I can do ALL things!
He is ABLE to do MORE than I can ASK or THINK or IMAGINE.
Not just for me....but for u too!!
Try Him!

GO! SHINE IN THE DARKNESS!

How can I be light when I'm cloistered in the Church?
How can I be light when I leave darkness in the lurch?
I need to step out into the darkness to be
The light that Father commanded Jesus, now me.

Jesus said: You are the light of the world, go and preach
We say: Darkness come here, come to church, hear us teach
Isn't that backwards, turned right around?
No wonder the lost stay lost and never get found

We sing: Light of the world, You stepped out into darkness
Yet we won't dirty our feet to follow His steps
We sing all our songs and preach all our sermons
While the dying keep walking to eternity in hell.

Let us remember that Jesus said: Go!
Carry your light into darkness and show
That light conquers darkness like I conquered hell
If it only steps out into darkness to tell.

So let's leave our cloister, let's do what He said
Let's lay down our lives for those living, still dead
Let's walk into darkness and turn on the light
By living like Jesus in the world's constant night.

Jesus said: You are the light of the world. Let your light SHINE...
Then He said: GO into all the world and preach the gospel....

LET'S DISH OUT SOME LOVE!

Some Christians get delivered from smoking
Some brag that they never touch wine
These two seem to be most remembered
And used as spirituality's plumb-line.

But what about anger, and what about hate
That's dished out in secret as juicy gossip on a plate?
What about selfish living and pride
That behind our Sunday masks do hide?

Let's rip off that mask, and dish out some love
Let's lift each other up, reflect Father above.
The prodigal smelled piggish, was untouchable too
But the father reached out saying: I love you, as you!

In Matt 5:16,46 Jesus said:
Go, and do likewise.

CHOOSE YOUR LEVEL

The Crowds came to Jesus for the fish and the bread.
They chased Him for miracles, healings, raising the dead.
They took what they could, then went their own ways
They were tickled with His works but wanted none of His ways.
The Seventy stayed longer, saw the power in His Name
Followed Him closely till He sent them out to do the same
They went out in twos with His authority
They could heal and deliver and people set free.
The Twelve Jesus chose after much thought and debate
He prayed all night to Father, then called each one by name
He then lived every day with them, helping them to learn
What leading by example was, so they could do the same
From these He picked Three: Peter, James and then John
They shared His life much deeper, saw His glory and all
Each had special tasks assigned, as pillars of the church
To build and keep it going; to make His death worth
John the One was most special, though youngest of all
All knew Jesus loved him, he had a very special call
We’ll never know how John earned this special place in His heart
But he was last at the cross, and that’s a clue with which to start
Jesus offers levels to those who follow Him
Based on our responses to His teaching about sin
Crowd, Seventy, Twelve, Three: Where would you be?
I'm choosing One, like John. Will you choose with me?

MY LIFE MY CHOICE

When I choose to empty myself of my self
God chooses to fill me with Him
When I choose to let go of things I hold tight
He walks through my darkness and turns on His light.

Making right choices are the keys that I have
Use them or shelve them is all in my hands
But His hands are locked tho His heart's open to me
My choices can unlock His hands to free me.

I do this by choosing His Word and His Way
I do this by letting go, and not holding sway
I do this each moment each single day
It's not only smart, it's the best and only way.

To walk in sure victory o'er every battle life brings
To keep focus on heaven 'stead of earthly things
To stay pure and holy till His face I behold
Till I enter His realm where streets are pure gold.

Living on earth is His assignment to me
To learn the right choices that from sin can free me
It seems like a task, painful and sore
But His plan is perfect, so I trust and endure.

When I see Him in glory I will then understand
Why He did what He did while my earth life He planned.
Till then help me choose right, whatever betide
Coz my life's purpose is one...To be His perfect Bride.

SIN THE STALKER

Sin is like an ex-boyfriend
A jealous lover who will never leave
Constantly seeking my attention
While to my Lord I strive to cleave.

Sin has a reel of our past moments
Of everything we ever shared.
It picks the one that can hook me best
When in my present I reach unrest.

It could be money, it could be friends
It could be habits I need to mend.
It could be heart things I can't let go
Sin knows exactly what clip to show.

The purpose is to lure me back
To carnal ways...my sinful pact.
To earthly things that pass away
To make my feet from Jesus stray.

I need to focus everyday
I need to give Jesus complete sway
I need to fix my eyes on Him
Or my ex will get me...his name is sin!

VOICES

Voices all around me, do this, do that
Holy Spirit in me softly nudges: No
Which road will I take?
What decision will I make?
Help me Lord with You to flow.

The voices are logical, rational, right
Holy Spirit doesn't sound the same
How can He say: Love your enemy?
How can He say: Don't label blame?

But He did, I clearly heard Him
As I read my Father's Word
Softly whispered as I listened
Sure as ever it's Him I heard.

Let it go, He gently whispered
I know it's hard, I've been there too
When Jesus was on earth and suffered
Thru Him I knew what you're going thru.

Letting go is never easy
Not fighting back is always tough
But thats the only way to glory
Being like Jesus when the road gets rough.

SATAN HAS ASKED FOR YOU...

Satan has asked for you, Jesus told Pete.
He wants to shake up and sift you like wheat.
Job had the same thing dished out to him
When God boasted saying he was a man with no sin.

When Father God is in a parental mood
He often shouts praises in heaven
But sneaky Satan also hears what He says
And shouts back: I can still see leaven.

You go check it out, Father roars loud
Go test my child, I'll vouch for him now
Do what you will and you will soon see
My child will still love and honour Me

Satan then slinks to earth with a writ
But has a tight lease round his throat and his wrist
Onslaught he brings, but Father infuses
Strength for the trial and Satan then loses

So hang in there child, Satan can't do
Any more than Father gives him permission to
Each time you're tested just think of heaven
Where Father shows off His earth living children.

Your testing, your trial is a way you will know
That Father is pleased, but there's still dross to show
That the forming of Jesus in you's incomplete
The journey's not over, your dross needs the heat.

God was so pleased with Jesus His Son
He wanted more children like that perfect One
He uses the Devil to help with His cause
And through every trial He roots out our flaws.

Till pure and holy we slowly become
Through pain and temptation like Jesus the Son
Perfect children in glory God wants us to be
So He gives Satan rope to test you and me.
